Ving tsun kung fu works the entire body, greatly improving its usefulness. I'm not talking about those mundane music-thumping cardio classes. Although they're valuable, I'm talking about something else. Our cardio workouts come from doing kung fu so the workouts bring additional value. Imagine never being off-balance or slipping. Imagine moving effortlessly and fluidly, in a relaxed manner without tension. Imagine the long-term benefits of good posture. Imagine having flexibility and strength so that accidentally stepping in a pothole does not cause injury. Imagine almost superhuman reflexes - dropping a knife or piece of food and having the time to decide whether to catch or evade.

The muscles developed during ving tsun become elongated because as we build muscle, we also stretch. We work the whole body synergistically, working every joint, muscle and fiber and improving all your body's functions. This helps your muscles heal and grow. If you have back, leg, or joint problems then ving tsun acts much like physiotherapy - it will help correct those chronic problems and keep them fixed.

After taking our ving tsun classes for just 6 months, you will be applying self-defense techniques in our full-speed sparring known as "sticking hands". Our chi sau drill is guaranteed to focus the mind. Our siu lim tau form will calm the mind. Together they will train the two best ways to relieve stress from your mind. If you prefer to relieve stress by engaging in a full-body sweaty workout, our second form and mai san jong sparring will do the trick!
